Lenovo Unveils a 5-Inch Smartphone Vibe X And a 7-Inch S5000 Tablet
Keith Liu, director of launch marketing at Lenovo Business Group, outlined a plan that revolves around an October launch in China with the rest of the world following in Dec.
Lenovo Vibe X
Lenovo at IFA announced, Lenovo Vibe X as the thinnest and lightest phones in the market, the phone is 6.9mm in thickness and weighs 121g. With the unveiling of Vibe X, Lenovo aims high-end smartphone market.
The Lenovo Vibe X features a 5-inch, 1,920-by-1,080 display made from scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with 440 pixels per inch. It features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel front-facing cam.
The Vibe X will run a 1.5GHz, quad-core MTK 6589T processor and Android 4.2. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
“Lenovo continues to bring head-turning innovations to the PC Plus marketplace with the Lenovo Vibe X smartphone’s uncompromising hardware design, its rich display and memory-making camera technologies,” Wayne Chen, vice president and general manager of Lenovo’s mobile business unit, said in a statement.
Lenovo S5000
Speaking about the other unveiling by Lenovo at IFA – the Lenvo S5000 is claimed to be World’s lightest 7-inch tablet by the company. At 246g, the company claims that the tablet is nearly one-fifth times lighter than other tablets.
The Lenovo S5000 tablet comes with a 7-inch display with 1280x800pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek 8389 processor. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera. The tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The Lenovo S5000 tablet includes a USB on-the-go port for storage expansion or for charging other devices and is backed by a 3,450mAh battery that can deliver up to eight hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or up to six hours of HD video viewing.
“Along with the S5000 tablet, these carefully crafted devices unleash a powerful blend of beautiful and smart technology to improve people’s lives.” Wayne Chen added.
